A first-half goal from Sadio Mane and a double by livewire substitute Mohamed Salah after the break gave Liverpool a 3-0 win at Stoke City on Wednesday as they continued their push towards the Premier League's top four.
The result left Liverpool fifth on 26 points from 14 games, two behind fourth-placed Arsenal and three adrift of third-placed Chelsea as they stretched their unbeaten league run to five games.
It also delighted manager Juergen Klopp, who praised Salah after the Egypt forward came off the bench in the 67th minute and showed his class with a brilliant volley followed by a clinical finish.
"Thank you is all I said to Mohamed Salah, it is nice to come on in a situation like this," Klopp told the BBC.
"That is a proper away game, it is a difficult place. It was very deserved and we are very happy."

What time does it start?
The game kicks off at 8pm on Wednesday 29 November, at the Bet365 Stadium.
Where can I watch it?
The game is not broadcast on live TV but you can follow it live on The Independent.
It’s a big game for…
Mark Hughes. Stoke are tumbling towards the bottom of the table and the pressure is really starting to grow on the Welshman who, at the start of the season, was the favourite to get the sack. Should the teams around them who have recently changed managers start picking up points, Stoke will be forced to take action so the onus is on Hughes to make sure there is not a decision to be made.
Player to watch…
Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian has lit up the Premier League so far this season and finds himself top of the goalscoring charts with 10 goals in 13 games. But can he do it on a cold, wet Wednesday night in Stoke?
