Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood could be the West Brom manager by Friday, according to reports.

Sherwood held talks with Jeremy Peace after returning from holiday in Ibiza last week

Peace is said to have been impressed by the 45-year-old during talks the pair have held and could move to bring him to the club by Friday, according to the Daily Mail.

Sherwood lasted just five months at White Hart Lane but led the club to a sixth-place finish and Europa League qualification with a win percentage of 59 per cent, the most of any Spurs boss in the Premier League.

West Brom barely escaped with their Premier League survival last season, finishing three points above the relegation zone after Pepe Mel won just three of his 18 matches in charge after taking over from Steve Clarke.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche and former Norwich boss Chris Hughton are also said to be in the running for the job.
