Jose Mourinho will use live video training sessions for his Tottenham players during the coronavirus pandemic.

The covid-19 pandemic has forced the squad to self-isolate with the United Kingdom in lockdown and suspended until at least 30 April.

Until now players have been using individual programs in isolation with the club giving the squad flexibility over when workouts are to be completed.

Harry Winks provided an insight into the “strange” circumstances surrounding the challenge now facing Spurs.

“It’s a bit strange for all of us, but I’ve got my head around it,” Winks told the club’s website.

“We’ve all been given a schedule, but it’s flexible, we can do it in our own time.

“So, for instance, I might have a lie in one day, but then I’ll work later. The important thing is to get it done.”

Steven Bergwijn and Son Heung-min have been granted permission to return to their home countries.

With Son flying back to South Korea for personal reasons and Bergwijn returned to the Netherlands for the birth of his child.

Both players will continue with individual programs alone.

Bergwijn is recovering from an ankle injury picked up against Burnley earlier this month, while Son sustained a broken arm last month.
