Tottenham vs Everton: John Stones back in the limelight against a Harry Kane in need of a goal
PREVIEW: A look ahead to the Premier League fixture at White Hart Lane

It’s a big game for…
JOHN STONES: A lack of defensive cover means that manager Roberto Martinez cannot afford to keep his much sought-after defender out of the spotlight, so an appearance in front of the TV cameras beckons for young Stones. This will be a huge test of his mentality, as the ability to cope well with the pressures of the media is a must for any top star. If his concentration is even a little off, it could spell disaster for Everton.
Weird stat…

Remember when…
In 1992, Gary Lineker’s last home match for Spurs ended in a disappointing draw, as the hosts squandered a 3-0 half-time lead. A powerful volley from 19-year-old substitute David Unsworth completed Everton’s comeback.
Player to watch…
HARRY KANE: The young forward has yet to replicate the performances he was regularly producing in his 31-goal campaign last season, and is without a goal so far. However, the attention on Stones appears to be telling on Everton’s defence as they conceded three to Barnsley in the week, so Kane could well open his account for the season if the Toffees don’t quickly regroup.
