Twitter have revealed their Dream Team made up of players who have been mentioned the most on the social media site this season.

Surprisingly, only one player from Premier League champions Chelsea makes the team, with Cesc Fabregas taking his place in the midfield.

In fact, there are more players from relegated local rivals Queens Park Rangers in the XI, with Rio Ferdinand and Joey Barton making the cup.

Manchester United can claim the most players with three - striking flop Radamel Falcao, left-back Luke Shaw and goalkeeper David De Gea.

Arsenal (Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil) and Manchester City (Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta) each had two players, whilst the final spot went to Liverpool's Mario Balotelli, of course.

The team was managed by another Chelsea man, however, with Jose Mourinho getting the nod on Twitter ahead of Louis van Gaal and Arsene Wenger.

Manchester United were the most talked about team on the site, ahead of Chelsea and then Arsenal, whilst Stoke City were the least mentioned.

Louis van Gaal's team featured in all four of the most Tweeted about matches with the two wins against Liverpool the two most talked about games of the season.
