Arsenal are set to include young midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide among their substitutes for Saturday’s Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion, with the 17-year-old primed to make his senior debut for the club.

Reine-Adelaide was a notable inclusion in Arsenal’s Emirates Cup success in pre-season, with the midfielder putting in a strong performance against Wolfsburg. But despite impressing against the German outfit, Reine-Adelaide has had to make do with youth football so far this season, having been left out of the Gunners’s Caiptal One Cup plans.

Manager Arsene Wenger looks ready to call him up though, with Reine-Adelaide expected to be named on the bench for Saturday’s match as Arsenal look to cope with an alarming number of injuries to first-team players.

Speaking about the French teenager earlier in the season, Wenger said: "Reine-Adelaide is something special you know. He is a great talent and when he came on you could see that - 17 years old let's not forget that. In fact I don't remember how I played at 17 but I didn't play like that!"

Reine-Adelaide assisted Theo Walcott’s opener in that performance against Wolfsburg, and after signing for the Gunners in the summer from French side Lens in a £3m deal that included Yassin Fortune, he finally looks ready to make his Premier League bow.
