England dropping Rooney is not my problem, says Mourinho

There are no winners in Evans rape case

Ince: Lose against United and you've let everyone down

Will Leicester ever dediscover their winning touch?

The key questions facing the big six this weekend

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said on Friday that Wayne Rooney being dropped by England as well as Manchester United was not his problem but that the player was positive ahead of Monday’s match at Liverpool.

In a testy press conference during which he was reluctant to engage with most of the questions, Mourinho was asked if he felt it had been a difficult period for Rooney. “That’s not my problem. England’s not my problem,” he said. Asked about the 30-year-old’s current mental state, he added: “He is good he is prepared, he is training well and is positive.”

41 mins: GOAL! BOURNEMOUTH 2 HULL 1:

Minutes after his inadvertent deflection has brought the opposition level, Steve Cook has headed home at the right end to restore his side's lead. The defender popped up in the visitors' box to steer in after another Junior Stanislas free-kick has caused chaos in the Hull City ranks.

42 mins: PENALTY TO MANCHESTER CITY

David Silva is adjudged to have been fouled by Phil Jagielka on the touchline inside the box, and Michael Oliver has awarded Manchester City a penalty. The veteran Everton defender looks crestfallen by the decision, but Pep Guardiola's team won't concern themselves with that as they smell a first half lead.

42 mins: MISSED PENALTY!

Kevin De Bruyne sees his spotkick saved by Maarten Stekelenburg! It was a poor effort from the Belgian, whose side-footed effort was as telegraphed as Sam Allardyce. Manchester City's failure from the penalty spot continues.

44 mins: PENALTY TO BOURNEMOUTH!

Another penalty, this time on the south coast for Bournemouth after Robert Snodgrass had chopped down the electric Calum Wilson. Lee Mason had no doubts about pointing to the spot, and the Cherries will have a wonderful chance to go in two ahead at the break.

45 mins: GOAL! BOURNEMOUTH 3 HULL 1:

Junior Stanislas makes no mistake from 12 yards, slamming his spotkick into the roof of the net. The Bournemouth man gave David Marshall no chance which is pretty much what the Tigers now have in getting anything from this contest.

45+1 mins: GOAL! STOKE 2 SUNDERLAND 0:

He's done it again! It's Joe Allen! It's a fourth Stoke goal in three matches for the midfield, who was perfectly positioned to slam home a volley after a Ryan Shawcross header from a corner had only been partially cleared by Sunderland's beleaguered defence. What now for David Moyes?
