Shinji Kagawa comes into Manchester United’s starting line up to play West Ham at Upton Park, following Robin van Persie’s injury late on against Olympiakos in the Champions League in mid-week.

Due to injuries and suspensions United have a make shift back four with Michael Carrick at centre back and Alex Buttner coming in at full back.

Darren Fletcher and Ashley Young also start alongside Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney.

For West Ham, James Collins and Matt Taylor replace Antonio Nocerino and Winston Reid, who both dropped to the bench.

The Hammers are coming off the back of successive defeats while United will still be smarting from a 3-0 home loss to Liverpool last week.

Subs: Reid, Jarvis, Armero, Jääskeläinen, Cole, Cole, Nocerino

Manchester United: De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Carrick, Buttner, Fellaini, Fletcher, Mata, Kagawa, Young, Rooney

Subs: Evra, Lindegaard, Hernández, Nani, Welbeck, Cleverley, Januzaj
