Sam Allardyce has kept with the same team that beat Crystal Palace 3-1 last weekend while Roland Koeman makes one change to his side.

West Ham went out of the Capital One Cup on penalties to Sheffield United on Tuesday and the player who missed the vital spot-kick, Enner Valencia, remains on the bench today.

Diafra Sakho, who scored in mid-week, has overcome a back complaint sufficiently enough to take a place among the substitutes.

Southampton played out a dull goalless draw with West Brom last Saturday and Koeman has responded to that by bringing Shane Long into the starting line-up in place of Victor Wanyama.

Lloyd Isgrove has not overcome the injury that saw him go off after just 30 minutes against Millwall on Tuesday.

How the teams line up…

West Ham: Adrian, O'Brien, Cresswell, Reid, Tomkins, Kouyate, Noble (c), Vaz Te, Downing, Zarate, Cole

Subs: Jaaskelainen, Demel, Poyet, Diame, Morrison, Valencia, Sakho

Southampton: Forster, Clyne, Bertrand, Fonte (c), Yoshida, Schneiderlin, Davis, Ward-Prowse, Tadic, Long, Pelle

Subs: Davis, Gardos, Ramirez, Wanyama, Cork, Mayuka, Hooiveld

Referee: Mike Dean
