Wojciech Szczesny insists Arsenal have squad to secure the Premier League title

Wojciech Szczesny is confident that Arsenal can maintain their table-topping form and push for the Premier League title.

Arsenal, who are three points clear at the top, play Southampton on Saturday, and the goalkeeper believes their form can be sustained with the current squad.

"We believe we are good enough with the players we have and the work we are doing to win the Premier League," Szczesny said. "We have shown that to people over the last six months or so. We know that if we just carry on doing the same thing we will show people that this team and these players are good enough to win a trophy without any extra additions or extra work that people are talking about."

Since March, Arsenal have won 16 out of 23 league games and taken 51 out of 63 possible points, and Szczesny is confident that can continue. "There is no reason not to believe. It is not only this season we've been doing well, it was the last two or three months of last season, where we went unbeaten for a few games."

"I don't want to say nobody can challenge us but if we are at our best we will win a trophy and that is all that matters."

Julian Draxler, Schalke's Germany midfielder, has hinted he could be tempted to join Arsenal because they are a "very, very nice" team. He added: "I sometimes speak to Mesut [Özil] or Per [Mertesacker] about the team and they always have good words and they tell me nice things. In the summer I have to look what is the best for me and we will see what happens."
