Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United: Juan Mata would be 'happy' to play with PSG striker
Sweden international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer
Juan Mata has said he would like to play with reported Manchester United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The current PSG striker will see his contract in Paris expire at the end of the season and reports suggest he is keen on a switch to the Premier League. With Manchester United lacking senior strikers a move to Old Trafford appears a natural fit. The potential arrival at the club of Jose Mourinho, who enjoys a good relationship with Ibrahimovic, will only strengthen any chances of the mooted move coming to fruition.
Manchester United midfielder Mata has spoken about the possibility of Ibrahimovic joining the club and indicated he would be keen to see such a move come off.
"I don't know what he's going to do," Mata told Sky Sports.
"I don't know if he will be finishing his contract or not with PSG at the end of the season and if he's going to stay there or not. Maybe he tries a new chapter in his long career.
"He is probably the best in the history of Sweden if we talk about football and what he represents."
Mata continued: "He was in so many countries and different leagues and he's won trophies everywhere. That speaks about his quality as a player and his importance.
"He's a very good player and I like to play with very good players.
"I don't decide that, he decides that and the club decides that. But obviously I think every player would be happy to play with him."
Ibrahimovic, who has won league titles at every club he has played for, has thus far stopped short of revealing what he plans to do next season.
