Angel Di Maria will have to ask to leave for Manchester United to consider selling the British record signing.

Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain are again interested in the unhappy winger, whose only start since March came on the final day of the season.

Di Maria has struggled to settle into life in England following a £59.7million move from Real Madrid last summer and would have joined PSG had the club been able to afford him - due to FFP they were unable to make the move after buying David Luiz.

According to the Daily Mail, Louis van Gaal wants to keep Di Maria despite his poor maiden season and Manchester United will only enter negotiations if they have a request from the player or receive an extraordinary offer.

Van Gaal believes that Di Maria could work his way back to form with a strong showing at the Copa America and a pre-season with his team-mates.

However, Di Maria and his family have had a difficult first year in Manchester, with a burglary in their home having a big effect on his form.

On Monday, French newspaper L'Equipe reported that PSG could offer right-back Gregory van der Wiel as part of a deal for Di Maria.
