Internazionale midfielder Sulley Muntari is to discuss a loan move with Sunderland manager Steve Bruce after the club were granted permission to talk to the Ghanaian.

The 26-year-old, who spent a season in the Premier League with Portsmouth three years ago, could move to the Stadium of Light until the end of the season.

He has been out of favour at San Siro this season, making just 12 appearances, and would join compatriots Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah on Wearside.
