Has Gerard Pique revealed that Cesc Fabregas's transfer is complete?

Fabregas has been strongly linked with moves to Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal this summer after being deemed surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp.

His Barcelona and Spain team-mate, Gerard Pique let slip that a €33m (£26.7m) transfer was "done", but did not disclose what team he has been sold to.

Pique was caught talking about the Fabregas "deal" at a promotional event with Spain coach Vicente del Bosque, when a private conversation between the pair was picked up by microphones on the table.

De Bosque said: "About Cesc..."

The Pique replied: "He already told me it’s done. He is leaving for 33million euros."

Del Bosque then said in jest: "The [Barcelona] president isn’t going to be happy.

"You're going to drive him mad, poor guy. You're going to upset him."

The Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla said yesterday that he hopes the Gunners re-sign Fabregas, who left north London to join Barcelona in 2011, but Chelsea appear in pole position to sign the 27-year-old.
