Eden Hazard has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will still be at Chelsea next season, by announcing that he has changed his Blues' shirt number from 17 to 10.

Speculation had been rife that the Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-German were planning to make a move for the playmaker, who scored 17 goals in all competitions for Chelsea last season and won the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

"I am very pleased to be able to wear the number 10 for Chelsea," Hazard said.

"It is my favourite number and is one I am used to wearing for the national team, as well as the one worn by some of my heroes from when I was a kid, like Zinedine Zidane.

"I hope it brings me a lot of luck in the future and I look forward to the fans seeing me in it next season."

The 23-year-old will also wear No 10 for Belgium at the World Cup, which starts next week.

The previous incumbent of the Chelsea No 10 shirt, Juan Mata, left to join Manchester United for £37m in January.
