Leicester City winger Anthony Knockaert has turned down the opportunity to join Ipswich Town on loan as Liam Moore completes his loan switch to Brentford.
The Frenchman was in fine form last season as the Foxes eased to the Championship title but has found his options limited in the Premier League.
Foxes boss Nigel Pearson has preferred to utilise the services of Riyad Mahrez and Jeff Schlupp on the flanks this year, leaving Knockaert on the bench on numerous occasions.
Mick McCarthy, the Tractor Boys' manager, had hoped to take the 23-year-old to Portman Road until the end of the season but it is believed that the player has turned down his offer.

Moore, on the other hand, is set to link up with play-off chasing Brentford in the Championship after the two parties agreed terms on a similar loan contract.
The England under-21s star has played 11 times for the East Midlands side this summer but has struggled to get into the staring eleven since Robert Huth's arrival last month.
Matt Upson, signed from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer, has also recently recovered from a serious injury to return to contention.
Leicester are bottom of the Premier League after Sunday's 2-2 draw away at Everton.
