Lionel Messi is urging Barcelona to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero this summer, according to reports.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner is currently negotiating a new contract at the Nou Camp, and according to Catalan television station TV3, is stipulating that the club bring in his Argentina team-mate as part of the deal.
The feasibility and sense of signing Aguero are complicated.
Manchester City, who will win the Premier League if they pick up four points in their final two games of the season, will be reluctant to sell their star player, despite the 25-year-old being troubled by injuries this season.
Even if Barcelona managed to prise Aguero away from the Etihad, for what would have to be a fee in excess of £50m, fitting him into the team would pose problems. With Messi, Neymar, Alexis Sanchez, Pedro and Cristian Tello already at their disposal, finding a regular starting birth in a side they regularly plays with one striker, and sometimes none at all, would be problematic.

As well as urging the club to move for Aguero, Messi also wants goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto to be offered a new deal according to TV3.
