Liverpool are in contention to sign Barcelona talent Alejandro Balde.

Having plotted his way through La Masia, Balde is one of Europe’s top prospects, attracting interest from Chelsea too.

And Sport claim the 16-year-old, who plays on the left side, has already decided to move to England, with Jurgen Klopp‘s side strong favourites due to the Blues’ transfer ban.

Meanwhile, Samuel Eto’o has urged Mohamed Salah to grab any future opportunity that presents itself to join Barcelona.

“Real Madrid gave me the opportunity to leave Africa but I know Barcelona’s style and I think it would be better for him (Egypt),” said Eto’o.

“If he has the chance to play in the best league of the world, which is the Spanish one, he has to sign for Barcelona.

The Reds are keen on Benjamín Bourigeaud and will compete with Sevilla for the Rennes star.

Estadio Deportivo claim the player has already agreed a deal with the Spanish side, with a €12m deal presented, though the French club want €20m.

Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are also listed as having registered an interest.

Manchester United will rival Liverpool for Junior Firpo, report Marca, with the Real Betis left-back possessing a €50m release clause.
