Luis Suarez has held talks with Inter Miami, as the new MLS club hope to make him the first signing in a hugely ambitious plan that involves a lot of big names.

The Uruguayan has been told he is not wanted by new Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman. His primary choice would be to stay in Europe, but the Miami hierarchy feel they can offer more money than anyone else will, particularly due to fitness concerns around his knee.

Suarez is currently on €450,000 a week, but is going to have to accept a significantly reduced figure.

Miami are fronted by David Beckham, who has been involved in many player negotiations, and are aiming to become the biggest club in the US.

As well as Suarez, they are also targeting Edinson Cavani, but that is seen as less likely.

Miami have also spoken to Lionel Messi, but for the future, as he currently has no desire to Europe due to his obsession with winning the Champions League again.

Suarez has been caught in the fall-out over Messi's decision to leave Barcelona, tweeting his support to Carlos Puyol, who had backed the Argentine's move.

Many around the club felt it showed how there was no way back for Suarez.
