Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris appears to heading nearer to the exit door at White Hart Lane, with the Frenchman again reiterating his desire to play in the Champions League.

Lloris has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer to replace David De Gea, who looks set to move back to Spain and sign for Real Madrid.

The Spurs' stopper told French radio station RMC Sport yesterday: "Dialogue and choices are important but the most important thing is to have the ability to play lots of matches in order to put in the best performance possible and continue to be selected for the national team.

"I assume that the choices come naturally, so I'm staying calm and seeing how things develop.

"The Champions League remains an important competition, the highest level in Europe, so obviously I want to participate and rub shoulders with the biggest European teams.

"I work towards that every day."

Lloris has won 66 caps for the France national team. He is contracted to Tottenham until 2019, having signed an extension to his deal last year.

United finished last season in fourth place, and will return to Europe's elite competition next season. Spurs ended the season in fifth.
