Manchester United transfer news: Ex-United star explains why club shouldn’t sign Erling Braut Haaland
The Norwegian striker has been the subject of interest from United, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and RB Leipzig
Manchester United should resist signing Erling Braut Haaland next month, claims Dimitar Berbatov.
The Norwegian has been strongly linked with a move to join his compatriot Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Juventus are also thought to be keen.
The former United striker believes focus should be on keeping Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in the line-up and on form.
“[Haaland] is good and he is still young, he is developing and maybe he can get better,” Berbatov told Sky Sports.
“But I’ve said many times before that Martial and Rashford are, for me, the two main strikers that Manchester United need to keep. I love them. I played with Martial in Monaco, I know how good he can be.

“He is still 22, something like that, so he still has a long way to go and he can become even better. So, for me, they need to stick with these two players”.
