Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller, a long-term target of Manchester United, has admitted that a move to the Premier League would be "very tempting" because of the amount of wages he could earn playing in England's top flight.
Muller earns a reported £100,000 per week at Bayern, but could see that more than double at United. Club captain Wayne Rooney, for instance, takes home a reported £250,000 a week.
United chased Muller all summer, with Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently saying that the Old Trafford club were wasting their time inquiring about his availability.
Muller, 26, is one of Bayern's prized assets, and has scored 13 goals in 13 games for club and country this season.
Muller, speaking to German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, he said "In the end, we should not forget that playing football is our job.

"So people should accept that wages will always play a role in a player's decision-making. Of course, the wages that are being paid in the Premier League are very tempting. It would be hypocrisy to deny that.
"You have to look at the complete package to determine whether something is right for you. What's good for you one day will not necessarily still be good for you the day after.
"I know that a lot of German clubs are unhappy with the Premier League clubs' spending, but I think it is something good for all clubs in the end.
"It can only be a good thing for football when clubs invest so much money."
