Southampton could finally be ready to sell star forward Sadio Mane, according to reports.

The Senegalese was linked with a big-money move to Manchester United in the summer but the South Coast club elected to hold onto the 23-year-old, despite a reported £30million bid.

However, Ronald Koeman is now thought to be willing to sell Mane if that price is met, according to the Daily Mirror.

Mane has not been as good as he was last season and has failed to score in his last 15 matches - he has just three Premier League goals in 23 matches this season so far, compared to the 10 in 30 games he got last term.

Koeman even decided to drop Mane to the bench for the 1-0 win against Swansea City on Saturday.

"We play a little bit different at the moment," the Dutchman said.

"We do not play with three in front, we play with two strikers and that is one reason Mane did not start.

"In the last few weeks he has been struggling a little bit with his performances."
