Tottenham interested in Josip Ilicic claims agent

The agent of Josip Ilicic has claimed that Tottenham are among a number of English clubs monitoring the Palermo attacking midfielder.

The Slovenia international has been in impressive form in his first season in Serie A, scoring eight league goals in 23 appearances for the Rosanero.

Ilicic's agent Armir Ruznic said to reterete24.it: "I have not had contact with Tottenham executives but it is indisputable that the player is liked by the English club.

"For Ilicic, there are several teams in the English and Spanish league, as well as the Italian one, interested, but at present there is nothing concrete that would suggest a departure from Palermo at the end of the season."

The 22-year-old Ilicic joined Palermo last summer from NK Maribor and is under contract with the Sicilian outfit until June 2015.
