TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR BOUND...

Tottenham Hotspur look set to be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window with Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy seemingly intent on moving on from past excesses.

Up to eight players are being linked with a move away from White Hart Lane, with Spurs fans probably sad to see only one of those leave – more on that below.

The Daily Mirror report that Spurs are scouting Seville striker Carlos Bacca; the Colombian, 28, has been phenomenal since moving to Spain, scoring 32 goals in 57 starts in La Liga and the Europa League since the beginning of last season. The paper reports that £26million flop Roberto Soldado could return to Spain in a part-exchange deal.

With Saido Berahino still stalling on a new West Bromwich Albion deal, Spurs are still interested, although Liverpool are believed to be his preferred destination.

Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the Championship’s hottest property, Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray; the 18-year-old is also being watched by Arsenal, Newcastle and Everton.

Jermain Defoe, currently training with the club, may yet return for a third spell at the club, with Toronto slashing their asking price to just £3m. Defoe, 32, was originally available for £6m, but no one was willing to meet that asking price.

HEADING FOR THE EXIT...

Along with Soldado, seven other players could be on the way out.

However, one player they will not want to lose is Hugo Lloris, who continues to be linked with a move to either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid. Over the weekend the Daily Mail reported that the Spurs No 1 will move to the Ligue 1 club for £25m in the summer.

Brazilian midfielder Paulinho is being chased by a trio of Italian clubs, according to the Mirror, with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan to battle for his signature.

The same paper also reports that Kyle Naughton is wanted by Leicester, Swansea and Queens Park Rangers; the right-back is expected to fetch £3m.

Aaron Lennon, Etienne Capoue, Younes Kaboul and Emmanuel Adebayor are the other players linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.
