Tottenham transfer news latest: Nicolo Zaniolo, Giovani Lo Celso, Toby Alderweireld and Dani Ceballos latest

After the sensational move for Tanguy Ndombele, Spurs are pushing on with the view to adding more signings

Tottenham Hotspur have highlighted Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo as their next target as part of an ambitious summer spending spree and will offer Toby Alderweireld in part exchange to win the race for the youngster’s signature.

Mauricio Pochettino has already added Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, for £55 million, as well as Jack Clarke, who will move back to Leeds on loan.

And now the talented young Italian midfielder is next on their hit list, as they look to build on reaching the Champions League final last term.

It will take at least a £40m offer to convince the Giallorossi to sell, report the Mail, but Alderweireld (who has a £25 million release clause this summer) could interest the Italians given their need for a centre-back and interest in Real Betis’ Marc Bartra and Gianluca Mancini from Atalanta.

Juventus are also keen on Zaniolo, but Roma would prefer to sell abroad given their hostility between the clubs.

Spurs are also pushing for Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos after his stunning European Under-21 Championships to inspire Spain to victory.

The 22-year-old has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, according to Marca.

The Daily Mail report that Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso and Fulham full-back Ryan Sessegnon are also targets.

Argentine Lo Celso could cost up to £70m whilst Sessegnon, who Spurs value at around £30m, could swap west for north London in a deal which could include his twin brother Steven.

The Mail has also reported that the club are continuing to keep tabs on Norwich’s Max Aarons.

Spurs are also ready to challenge Manchester City for Bournemouth’s centre-half Nathan Ake, according to L’Equipe.

Real Madrid target Christian Eriksen continues to represent an issue for Spurs, with the La Liga side hoping to secure a cut-price deal for the Dane with one year left on his contract.
