Tottenham will hold out for at least £15m if they are to allow clubs to speak to Brazilian midfielder Sandro amid interest from Napoli.

The Evening Standard reports that the 25-year-old defensive midfielder is open to a move to the Serie A side, who finished the campaign in third meaning they will participate in next season’s Champions League once again providing they come through a play-off in August.

But Spurs will hold out for what they feel is the right fee for the player they signed from Internacional in 2010, but Napoli are believed to be unwilling to go above their £9m valuation of the Brazil international.

Spurs will also delay any transfer business to allow new manager Mauricio Pochettino time to assess his squad having been appointed as the replacement to Tim Sherwood last month following his resignation from Southampton.

The Argentinian could still decide that Sandro can become an integral part of his squad and block any move away from the north London club.

One player Pochettino is keen on signing though is Chelsea full-back Ryan Bertrand, who has returned to the Blues after a season-long loan spell with Aston Villa.
