Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc has insisted that Jadon Sancho will stay at the Bundesliga side next season and remains a part of the club’s long-term plans.
The 18-year-old, who made his England debut in November, has scored seven goals and assisted a further 10 in 24 appearances this season.
Dortmund bought Sancho from Manchester City for just £8m in the summer of 2017, with his value now thought to be ten times that amount, but Zorc confirmed that his immediate future is with the German club.
“Jadon knew it would be an unusual step to move here but it has been totally the right one,” Zorc told ESPN. “He’s an outstanding talent and a big part of our future.”
“We are convinced that we are the best option for him to keep developing. He’s not finished yet. Not by a long stretch.

“And he will certainly play with us next year, come what may.”
Sancho too spoke of how he was happily settled at Dortmund last week as the squad spent the winter break in the Marbella sunshine.
“I just want to play football and I’m getting that opportunity here,” Sancho said. “I’m happy right now.”
“I’ve adapted really well. Obviously when I first came it was a bit difficult because I’m not around the corner from my house.”
