Premier League transfer round-up: Sigurdsson finally signs for Everton

The summer transfer window is well and truly open with some of world football's biggest names on the move.

Neymar has already smashed the world transfer record by swapping Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain but many closer to home could follow him in big money transfers with speculation about the futures of Philippe Coutinho, Alexis Sanchez and more refusing to go away.

Manchester City have been the summer's biggest spenders splashing over £200m on new arrivals but Pep Guardiola isn't stopping there with Jonny Evans eyed to plug what still looks to be a hole in the centre of their defence.

Crosstown rivals United have been busy too and still want more despite adding Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof with Jose Mourinho keen on an attacking wide player and a new full back.

Liverpool have struggled to get deals over the line and could still lose Coutinho while Chelsea need bodies as Antonio Conte battles with an injury and suspension crisis with the Premier League champions.

We will have all the latest news for you right here so don't touch that dial.

Arsene Wenger has opened the door further to losing Alexis Sanchez for free, arguing that tying him to a big new contract at Arsenal could prove to be even more expensive than foregoing a transfer fee for him this summer.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be set for a coaching role at Manchester United once his playing career finishes, as The Independentunderstands the prospect has already been discussed in preliminary talks about a potential new contract.

The Swedish international is currently out with a serious knee injury picked up in the Europa League win over Anderlecht in April, with that his last game for the club before his last deal ran out in June.

With Ibrahimovic eager to play again, talks have been staged with United over a new contract, with Jose Mourinho also keen to keep around a player whose influence on the squad he sees as key.

Let's take a look around today's back pages, shall we?

Tottenham are yet to sign anybody during this transfer window, and are instead fending off further interest in their current players.

The Sun reports that chairman Daniel Levy has warned that DELE ALLI would not be sold even if £150million was offered - news which will disappoint Barcelona and Manchester City.

They also appear to be in no mood to entertain Chelsea's interest in DANNY ROSE, according to the Evening Standard.

North London rivals Arsenal are also doing their best to deter bidders interested in ALEXIS SANCHEZ and ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN.

The Daily Star reports Manchester City have bid £60million for Sanchez, with the Express reporting a £45million bid has already been rejected.

The Sun reports that Arsene Wenger has told Oxlade-Chamberlain he wants him to stay for a "long time" as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United circle.

Arsene Wenger is adamant Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not be sold this summer amid interest from Chelsea.

The England midfielder, who only has a year remaining on his current deal, has been linked with the exit door with Antonio Conte understood to be interested as he looks to bolster the Premier League champions' threadbare squad.

Often on the periphery Oxlade-Chamberlain started the Gunners league opener against Leicester last weekend and Wenger wants him to stay and says he sees a big future for the 24-year-old.

Wilshere’s future is still uncertain with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Coquelin all ahead of him in the midfield pecking order with the club fielding a number of inquiries from clubs at home and abroad.

The 25-year-old returned to the field for the first time since breaking his leg last season impressing for the Gunners' Under-23s earlier this week.

Paul Pogba is not downheartened in the slightest after losing his tag as the world’s most expensive footballer, with the Manchester United midfielder admitting he is relieved to see Neymar’s £200m transfer to Paris Saint-Germain lift an unwanted weight off his shoulders.
