Transfer news: Mirko Vucinic and Fredy Guarin swap deal threatens to derail English clubs' transfer plans

Arsenal and Chelsea look set to miss out on two leading targets as they look set for a part-exchange deal

Mirko Vucinic and Fredy Guarin, both targets for the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, are rumoured to be involved in a part-exchange deal between Juventus and Inter Milan respectively.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Inter president Erick Thohir is growing increasingly restless with the Nerazzurri's poor form after the club secured just a single victory since November.

It is unclear which club will be expected to compensate for any difference in valuation between the pair but the news will come as a surprise to a host of Premier League sides.

Chelsea have been monitoring Guarin's situation for the last six months, even contacting his club over a potential deal for the 27-year-old last autumn.

Vucinic, on the other hand, was linked with Arsenal last week as Arsene Wenger looks into signing some striking cover for his title-chasing Gunners.

Reports continue to reverberate that Juve director general Beppe Marotta is set to travel to Milan, alongside sporting director Fabio Paratici, to try to reach an agreement.

The Gazzetta dello Sport, however, claim that a deal has already been reached and that it will be a straight swap between the clubs, with no cash paid from either side.

Further reports in Italy this afternoon also speculated that Vucinic had left training with the Old Lady in order to complete the move.
