Nacer Chadli wants to leave Tottenham in order to keep his World Cup hopes alive, according to his agent.

The Belgian midfielder only joined Spurs this summer, in a £7m deal from FC Twente, but he has not established himself as a first team regular and has made only seven league starts.

The 24-year-old's agent Daniel Evrard believes his client needs first team football and that a loan move might be the best solution.

"For him to play at the World Cup it's important, so why not a loan? We haven't spoken to Tottenham yet but I know there are clubs interested in him," he said.

It could be a busy transfer window for Spurs, with reported interest in Etienne Capoue, Lewis Holtby and Erik Lamela for Tim Sherwood to consider.
