Transfer news: QPR could make move for Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor reveals Harry Redknapp
The former Arsenal striker has been told to train with the reserves
QPR could make an audacious bid to sign unsettled Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Togo striker has been ordered to train with the reserves and Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas revealed yesterday that he would have been happy to see the player leave during the summer.
Having fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane, particularly after the arrival of Roberto Soldado, Adebayor could now find himself slipping down a division.
Championship promotion favourites QPR would be interested in taking the player in on loan according to their manager Harry Redknapp, although the former Spurs boss admits a deal will be difficult.
"He'd be a great loan, that's for sure," said Redknapp.
"I don't know what will happen with him. He's a good player but it's up to Tottenham, they have lots of good players.
"He can't go on loan in the Premier League, he can only go into the Championship but whether he'd want to do that - it would be difficult I think."
QPR have already taken Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto on loan from Spurs for the season.
