Transfer news: Wednesday's rumours, gossip and done deals as Chelsea sign Christian Pulisic plus Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and more
All the latest transfer news plus gossip, rumours and done deals
The Premier League's January transfer window is upon us with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham all set to be busy.
Liverpool were the summer's biggest spenders with no fewer than four new arrivals. Goalkeeper Alisson was the headline-grabber with the Brazilian already proving worth every penny of the world-record fee the Reds shelled out for the Brazilian. Could long-term target Nabil Fekir join him this month? United got a couple of new faces in through the door in the summer but it hasn't made a difference with Jose Mourinho out and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in. Will he spend them way out of trouble in the January sales.
Champions Manchester City are in the thick of the title race again but may be tempted back into the market for one more big money signing while Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal could all choose to dip their toes in the water as they battle for an all-important top four spot. We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

Napoli will likely make David Ospina's move from Arsenal permanent this month, bringing forward a move planned for the summer in order to complete a £2.5m deal.
Ospina has shared the gloves with the highly-rated Alex Meret this season but has impressed Carlo Ancelotti enough to earn a full-time move to Serie A.
Arsenal are ready to cut ties with the 30-year-old keeper having spent big on German international Bernd Leno last summer.

Chelsea have followed Dortmund's lead and confirmed the Pulisic deal.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia says: "We are delighted to have signed one of Europe’s most sought-after young players.
"Christian has shown his quality during a fantastic spell in Germany and at just 20, we believe he has the potential to become an important Chelsea player for many years to come.
"We look forward to welcoming him to Stamford Bridge in the summer and wish him and Dortmund every success for the remainder of the season."

Monaco boss Thierry Henry is looking to reinforce his struggling side by bringing in Premier League reinforcements this January, starting with a move for Cesc Fabregas.
The Chelsea midfielder is great friends with Henry from their time at Arsenal and has been offered a significant package to move to the Côte d'Azur this month. Maurizio Sarri will not stand in the way of the World Cup winner leaving this month and that move could be announced in the coming days as the Spaniard gears up to leave England.
While the deal for Fabregas, 31, is not expected to face any problems, Monaco will likely meet much stiffer resistance in their pursuit of Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho.
Henry is keen to sign an experienced central defender this window to stop his side leaking goals and Sakho fits the bill, but with the Eagles having unloaded nearly £30m to sign the Frenchman permanently from Liverpool 18 months ago , the Ligue 1 club will have to blow them away with any offer.

↵The deal to bring Christian Pulisic to Chelsea is by far the biggest of the day and of this window so far.
Here Miguel Delaney breaks down a move that is not without its negatives for Chelsea.
Aaron Ramsey is going to have a decision to make.
A host of Europe's top clubs want to sign him this summer.
Chelsea have not accepted a bid from Wolves for the signing of loanee striker Tammy Abraham despite earlier reports announcing that the London club had accepted an £18 million bid.
It is reported that, together with the player, they will assess whether or not he stays at Villa for the remainder of the season or goes elsewhere. There has been no decision made yet.
Abraham has enjoyed a wonderful first half of the season for Championship side Aston Villa with 16 goals under his name as he enters the New Year.

Sheffield Wednesday have officially announced that Steve Bruce has been appointed as head coach but the former Aston Villa manager will not take charge until February 1. Members of Bruce's team Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence will be in charge prior to his arrival.
He succeeds Jos Luhukay who was sacked last month after less than a year in charge of the Yorkshire club. For Bruce, his time as Aston Villa manager ended in October following a series of defeats and disappointment in the 2018 Championship playoff final.
Wednesday are now unbeaten in their last four matches and are looking to hunt the teams in the top 10, with the last spot taken by Bruce's ex-club Aston Villa.

Huddersfield Town are set to complete a loan move for out of favour Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
The winger has made just five appearances for Roy Hodgson's side so far this season and will now move to Huddersfield to try and impress and earn a new contract come the end of the campaign.
Huddersfield are currently bottom of the league and five points off safety so manager David Wagner will be hoping Puncheon can make an immediate impact for his side.
Puncheon will replace Rajiv van la Parra who left the club for Middlesbrough having not played since October.

Sky Sports Italia have reported that Southampton have put striker Manolo Gabbiadini up for sale which has captured the interest of AC Milan and a number of other Italian clubs.
Fiorentina and Bologna are also reportedly interested in bringing the striker back to Italy, with the player struggling to pin down regular first team football for the south coast side.
Gabiaddini moved to the Saints in January 2017 from Napoli for a fee of £14.6m and made a great start with six goals in his first four games. Since then however, he has only managed a further six goals and is out of favour with new manager Ralph Hassenhuttl, making just one appearance since his arrival.
