Transfer Talk: Jo departs Toffees for Galatasaray

Everton have confirmed that the loan of Manchester City striker Jo has has been terminated, allowing the Brazilian striker to join Turkish side Galatasaray until the end of the season. "A season-long loan deal for the player had been agreed between Everton and Manchester City in the summer, but this has been cut short," the club said.

James deal back on

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis confirmed a possible loan for David James is back on after the clubs failed to reach agreement last week. "It's reared its head again," Pulis said. "But we'll wait and see."

Kilgallon joins Bruce

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce last night completed a deal for the Sheffield United defender Matthew Kilgallon. The 26-year-old signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Long shots

Aston Villa and Birmingham City are both chasing the Rangers striker Kris Boyd, whose Ibrox contract expires in the summer. The Blues are also preparing an improved bid for out-of-favour Liverpool striker Ryan Babel.

Everton are approaching Marseilles over a loan deal to bring Hatem Ben Arfa to Goodison until the summer, while Toffees manager David Moyes is also closing in on Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos, who has been linkled with Celtic.

West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola, keen to bolster his attacking options, is interested in bringing Ruud van Nistelrooy, Benni McCarthy and Robbie Keane to Upton Park.
