Arsenal are targeting £4m-rated West Ham centre-back Winston Reid in the January transfer window, according to reports.
The New Zealand international is out of contract at Upton Park at the end of the season.
The Daily Mail have reported that Arsenal have watched the 26-year-old in every game he has played since November.
Reid played against Arsenal yesterday in the Gunners' 2-1 win at the Hammers, and did not have the best of afternoons. He fouled Santi Cazorla to concede the penalty from which the Spaniard opened the scoring.
