Deontay Wilder is ready to unify his titles for a heavyweight title fight with Tyson Fury after a devastating knockout victory over Poland's Artur Szpilka in Brooklyn.

WBC champion Wilder struggled for large portions of the fight but left Szpilka flat on his back out cold with a powerful right hand with 36 seconds remaining in the ninth round at Barclays Center to improve his record to 36-0.

It was Wilder's 35th KO and Szpilka was out for several minutes as he was attended to by ringside doctors.

WBO and IBO champion Fury was ringside and entered the ring after the fight, going nose-to-nose with Wilder and challenging him to unify the division.

Fury was stripped of the IBF title after he agreed to a rematch against Wladimir Klitschko, but a meeting with Wilder could go ahead later this year in either America or the UK.

"Any time! Any place! Anywhere!" Fury said as he clashed with Wilder post-fight. "Like I did Klitschko, I'll beat you, ya bum, You're a bum."

But Wilder was not to be intimidated and responded in kind to Fury.

"You can run around like you're a preacher all you want but you step in the ring, I promise you I will baptise you," Wilder said, with the Barclays Center crowd roaring him on.

"We all know Fury is just a phony," he added in a ringside interview with Showtime. "This is just an act. I'm not scared of anybody. We'll come to your backyard. This is just an act - you're not a real fighter. I don't play. This isn't wrestling. This isn't the WWE. When you do step in that ring with me I promise you I will baptise you.

"I would love to fight him next. Unfortunately I have other mandatories due. Make the date Tyson, I promise you."
