Dutch baseball player Greg Halman has been stabbed to death in Rotterdam and his younger brother has been arrested in connection with the incident. Halman, 24, played as an outfielder for the Major League side Seattle Mariners.

Halman, who joined the Mariners in 2004 and played 35 games for the club last season, helped to promote the sport in Europe by holding coaching clinics with youngsters.
