Boxing: Chambers aims to buck trend and down Klitschko
The big question in tonight's triple world heavyweight title fight in Düsseldorf is whether Philadelphia's Fast Eddie Chambers will add his name to the modern list of shameful American challengers for sport's tainted trophy.
During the last five or so years nearly a dozen American fighters have travelled to Europe and lost in pathetic displays against the recent long and often forgettable list of champions from either Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Russia or Kazakhstan. Chambers insists that he is a different beast, a proper old-school fighter, and that Wladimir Klitschko, who will be defending his WBO, IBO and IBF belts, has made a big mistake.
