Rob Burrow will go into next weekend’s World Club Challenge without a game under his belt this season after being ruled out of tomorrow’s visit to Hull KR. The England scrum-half has not recovered from the neck injury and is joined on the sidelines by the Samoan international, Ali Lauitiiti. “Rob and Ali are both coming along well with their injuries but Friday has come just too early for them,” said the Rhinos’ coach, Brian McClennan. “We are confident both with be available next week.”

Doubts about the fitness of Kevin Sinfield and Keith Senior for the Anglo-Australian show-down against Manly were eased when they when they were added to Leeds’ squad after missing last weekend’s victory over Wakefield.

Rovers’ centre Chev Walker will miss the game after his appeal against a one-match ban for striking was rejected.

Karl Pryce could make his competitive debut for Wigan against Castleford tomorrow. Brian Noble is without Cameron Phelps with a hamstring injury as well as the suspended Richie Mathers. He has Pryce on stand-by with Sean Ainscough.
