Grillo & CaseyIt's a very good start for England's Paul Casey, as he joins the ever-increasing group to birdie the second as well as the seventh to move to +2 for the championship.

Matsuyama & Langer

Two people who haven't made a good start though is Hideki Matsuyama and Bernhard Langer, as they both bogey the first to drop back to level par and ease the pressure on Jordan Spieth.

Spieth & Kaufman

The pressure continues to ease as Kaufman misses his birdie putt on the first, and after Spieth taps in for par, Kaufman follows suit.

It appears Ian Poulter knows who he's cheering for...  a9c5099d-1610-403d-b1fb-ce35599cb6e2.jpg

I hope Langer has some energy left in the tank, would be so good to see him pushing the young pups all the way...

HOLE IN ONE ALERT!Take a bow, Shane Lowry! The Irishman takes the applause at the 16th as he runs one back down the green and straight into the cup, giving him his first career hole in one at The Masters. He's well out of contention as that eagle brings him back to +10, but it's surely a moment he won't forget!

EAGLE ALERT!Billy Horschel chips in at eight and gets back to +4 where he started the day.

Spieth & Kaufman

The birdie procession at 2 comes to an end with - you guessed it - two more birdies from the final pair. Both Spieth and Kaufman set themselves up with good birdie chances, and duly convert to steal a march on the rest of the field.

Kjeldson & Snedeker

Another man on the move is Dane Soren Kjeldson, as he bags his second birdie of the day at five to move onto -1 and just three shots off the lead.

Matsuyama & Langer

A good recovery from Matsuyama as he immediately gets the dropped shot at one back at the second to join Kjeldson on -1, but Langer can only make par at the long par-five.

Willett & WestwoodWhile Willett holds a share of second, Westwood is slowly making progress too as he records birdies at six and seven to move back to level par. The pair are playing very well today and could find themselves in the mix come the end of the day.

McIlroy and Burger

McIlroy completes his front nine in par, but has two birdies at seven and eight to thank for that as he finally finds a bit of form.

Matsuyama & Langer

Meanwhile, Matsuyama is seeing his Masters hopes fall apart, with bogeys at four and five followed by a disastrous double bogey at six to drop him back to four over for the day and +3 for the tournament alongside Langer.

Spieth & KaufmanMomentum shifter! Spieth gets himself into trouble at the fifth and misses his par putt, much to the shock  of the patrons. At the same time there's a big cheer up ahead...

Willett & Westwood

...and that's because Danny Willett birdies the eighth to move into outright second on -2 and just a shot off the lead.

Casey & Grillo

Paul Casey isn't going down without a fight either, as he cards his third birdie of the day in a bogey-free round to move to one over and a share of sixth place.

Spieth & KaufmanAnd just like that, Spieth's two-shot lead is restored with a birdie at six as he swings a 15-footer from left to right and into the cup. Kaufman makes par.

Fitzpatrick & Donaldson

Matthew Fitzpatrick made a very impressive start with two birdies in three holes, only to give up a shot at 11. However, after leaving Amen Corner behind him, the 21-year-old birdies 14, 15 and 16 and jump up into sixth on +1 with two to play.

Day & JohnsonJason Day and Dustin Johnson are having an interesting day, to say the least. Day bogeyed the fifth before making the shot back up at eight, while Johnson managed to double-bogey the fifth only to rattle off birdies at six and eight. The result? They're both back to where they started on level par.

Spieth & KaufmanMake that birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie for Jordan Spieth as he makes the turn in 32 with a five-shot lead! Kaufman follows up by missing his par putt from three feet and drops to +1, and you'd say that's him out of the running now.

HOLE IN ONE ALERT PART 3!Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable scenes at the 16th! JB Holmes hits his tee shot to within three feet of the hole, only for Louis Oosthuizen to swing his effort in from the right, ricochet off Holmes' ball and divert into the cup for a hole in one!
