ENG 18-2

Interesting change from Australia. Hazlewood is off with Nathan Lyon coming on. The ball is moving but we are about to see the first over of spin in the match.

A loosener down leg is tapped away for one from Rory Burns.

ENG 20-2

Three runs from Nathan Lyon's first over. One of them a leg bye. No real sign of any spin but there's some bounce there for the off spinner.

Cummins continues and rattles Burns on the gloves with a quick short ball from round the wicket. That's the first time Burns has looked uncomfortable in this innings.

GONE! Burns gloves one to Paine, Cummins has his man!

Cummins sets Burns up with a couple of full deliveries before firing in another short ball down leg. Burns tries to take him on but only manages to glove behind to leave Paine with an easy catch.

It must suck being an England bowler in this current test side. They toil hard and put the team in winnable positions but the batsmen never capitalise.

The Nathan Lyon experiment is over, Hazlewood comes back on. Ben Stokes is the new man in.

ENG 24-3

This is a huge, huge innings now for Joe Denly. There was a lot of pressure on him before this test but with the match situation that pressure has increased.

Add to that the fact that Australia are all over him and this is very challenging. He's been out there for 24 balls and finally he gets off the mark.

Hazlewood over pitches and Denly drives him through the covers for four.

ENG 24-3

As the players take a drink, the first hour is Australia's. They've taken three wickets, including the England captain for a duck.

England need a partnership, Ben Stokes is coming off the back of a hundred at Lords and is one of the toughest competitors in this side.Is he the man to rescue England again?

Ben Stokes is away, Cummins pushes the ball full and Stokes knocks it into the covers for a couple.

Oh Joe. Denly attempts to leave the ball and gets an inside edge instead. It misses the stumps and goes away for a single. Cummins smiles and shakes his head.
