The FIA will not make a decision on the race start until as late as 15 minutes before lights out, but race director Charlie Whiting is determined to go with a normal standing start after facing criticism for his handling of the rain in Silverstone earlier this year. That could play into Hamilton's hands, although the hill start that the drivers face in Brazil will also become much more of a factor.

As the cars head around the Interlagos circuit on their reconnaissance laps, it look incredibly wet... drama!

Romain Grosjean has crashed on his way to the grid! He's not going to even start the Grand Prix!

Disaster for Grosjean. As he comes up the hill towards the grid, he loses the rear end on a puddle of water and spins, slamming into the outside wall and snapping both the left front and rear suspension. He climbs out and his day comes to a disappointing and premature end.
