Gresini to miss Valencia after Simoncelli's death
Gresini Racing has withdrawn its MotoGP and Moto2 teams from the season-ending races at Valencia following the death of their rider Marco Simoncelli in Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.
"The only certainty is that my team won't participate in the upcoming Valencia Grand Prix and in the tests programmed after the race," team chief Fausto Gresini told Corriere dello Sport.
Simoncelli, who had joined Gresini in 2010, suffered fatal injuries to his chest, neck and head during the collision with fellow riders Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi.
