All European Rugby Champions Cup fixtures due to be played in France this weekend have been postponed following the tragic attacks in Paris that have left more than 120 people dead.

French president Francois Hollande has announced three days of mourning across the country after several attack in the capital city took place on Friday night. One attack took place at the Stade de France, where the French and German national football teams were competing in an international friendly, and left three dead and more injured.

The first round of the European Champions Cup got underway on Friday as Leicester beat Stade Francais at Welford Road, but all fixtures due to take place in France on Saturday and Sunday have been postponed due to safety fears.

It means that the following fixtures will now be postponed until a later date:

European Rugby Champions Cup:

Saturday

Oyonnax v Ulster

Racing Metro v Glasgow Warriors

Sunday

Bordeaux-Begles v Clermont Auvergne

Toulon v Bath

European Challenge Cup

Pau v Castres

Along with the Champions Cup, the European Challenge Cup is also taking place this weekend, and it has been confirmed that tonight’s all-French fixture between Pau and Castres will also be postponed.

The remaining Champions Cup fixtures will go ahead as planned as Saracens face Toulouse at Allianz Park in Barnet, Northampton host the Scarlets and Munster take on Treviso in south Ireland.
