Courtney Lawes has declared himself available for England's RBS 6 Nations meeting with Scotland on Sunday after completing 80 minutes for the first time in two months yesterday.

The 22-year-old lock played all of Northampton's defeat at Exeter, proving his fitness after a lengthy absence with a knee injury.

That problem forced him out of the reckoning for the start of England's so far perfect campaign, but he is still hoping to make an impact at the back end of the tournament.

Team manager Martin Johnson may be looking for reinforcements in the pack, with Simon Shaw struggling with a groin strain, and Lawes is ready to answer any calls.

"If he (Johnson) wants me, I'm ready," he told the Times.

"There's no doubts, the knee is sweet.

"I thought I had a pretty good game (against Exeter), carried OK. I do feel like I am back up to speed. I am a bit tired, but I feel good."

Of England's 100% record so far, he added: "Of course you wish you were there, but I am just glad for the boys. Two more wins and you know what that means."
