Six Nations LIVE: England beat Wales 12-3 thanks to two Jonny May tries to keep Grand Slam hopes alive
Follow the latest from the Six Nations encounter at Twickenham
England and Wales collide at Twickenham on the second weekend of the Six Nations with both teams unbeaten and looking to challenge not only for the championship but also the Grand Slam.
The hosts return to Twickenham off the back of a resounding 46-15 victory over Italy in Rome, a bonus-point result that has put them top of the Six Nations table. But hot on their heels is Wales, who thrashed Scotland 34-7 in Cardiff and only trail England on points difference.
With Warren Gatland and Eddie Jones engaging in their usual verbal barbs this week – Gatland claiming that Wales have been and will be fitter than England before Jones questioned Rhys Patchell’s “bottle” and hit out at Alun Wyn Jones – the tension ahead of the game has built towards fever pitch, and the atmosphere inside the stadium is certain to rise as a result.
Wales haven’t beaten England since 2015, but that victory was the famous Rugby World Cup success over England that paved the way to their embarrassing elimination from their own tournament. However, they've suffered the loss of Leigh Halfpenny to a foot injury just an hour before kick-off, so Gareth Anscombe starts at full-back with Owen Watkin on the bench.

What time does it start?
England vs Wales kicks off at Twickenham at 16:45 GMT.
Where can I watch it?
The Six Nations encounter will be shown live on ITV from 16:20 GMT.
16 mins: The big hits are starting to come - and not all of them legal. Itoje hits Alun Wyn Jones with a borderline late hit, and Jones in turn barges an unsuspecting Cole out of the way on his run towards a ruck. Itoje and Lawes then hit Patchell, and Lee has to go off his feet to secure the ball to hand England a penalty.
They have possession inside the Welsh 22.
19 mins: England work through the phases and good narrow runs from May, Simmonds and Launchbury get them to within striking range. They have an offside advantage too to work with so will be coming away with points, but they smell the try here...
TRY FOR ENGLAND!
20 mins: England play the advantage and a long looping pass to Launchbury sees the lock take aim at the corner. He's tackled towards touch, but a brilliant offload sets up Jonny May to collect and dive over for his second try.
Farrell adds the extras this time and England lead 12-0.
23 mins: England immediately concede a penalty off the restart again, and this time Patchell kicks it to the corner. The lineout drive goes nowhere, but from the ensuing run Wales have a penalty advantage. Patchell decides to go with a kick to the corner, and it comes off Patchell's knee and bounces into the try area. Anscombe might have beaten Watson to the ball here...TMO check.
24 mins: NO TRY!
TMO Glenn Newman decides that there is no clear grounding of the ball from Anscombe. I have to say, that's a surprising one. Patchell will still have a shot at goal for the penalty and it's right in front of the post. He gets it and Wales are on the board! 12-3.
26 mins: England are once again into the Welsh 22 after a nice break from Joseph when he isolates Lee. Cn they take more points away?
27 mins: No is the answer as a poor Farrell pass slips behind Joesph and May has to sprint back to sweep up. He retains possession though and England can rebuild. Wales have turned them over though through Navidi and it's their turn to attack, but England reply in check as Lawes steals the ball back.
28 mins: The gruelling phase of play finally comes to an end with Ford dfinding touch in the Welsh half, but England give away a needless free-kick for not standing their side of the mark. Patchell puts up a high one, and Brown collects and looks to have been tackled by Moriarty before he touches the ground. Referee Jerome Garces is happy though and waves play on.
30 mins: Brown comes racing up to try and take another one, but he spills it forwards and it's knocked on for a scrum on halfway. Hartley needs some treatment with blood pouring from the top of his ear, so there's a brief stoppage while he is tended to. We're ready to go again.
