Everything you need to know about the Autumn Nations Cup clash at Murrayfield this Sunday

Scotland and France collide at Murrayfield on Sunday with the two unbeaten sides looking to take a step towards reaching the final of the Autumn Nations Cup.

After their opening weekend victory over Italy, Scotland are looking to string together a run of six consecutive victories, having battled to a 28-17 victory last week to follow their Six Nations triumph over Wales in October.

But they meet a French side that looked very slick in defeating Ireland on the final weekend of the Six Nations, and they will be well rested given their opening fixture against Fiji was cancelled after an outbreak of Covid-19 within their camp. With Fiji’s games against Italy and Scotland also chalked off, the Pacific Islanders are guaranteed to finish last in Pool B, though whether they can feature on finals weekend still needs to be decided on health grounds.

The ruling means that whoever emerges victorious from this match is almost certain to finish top of Group B, placing an added impetus on the match in the hope of reaching the Autumn Nations Cup final.

Gregor Townsend has made five changes to his side, with three coming in an all-new front row as Oli Kebble, Fraser Brown and Simon Berghan start, while Matt Fagerson makes his first start of the autumn at No 8 and Blair Kinghorn replaces Darcy Graham on the wing.

Is it on TV?

No. Channel 4 only have the rights for Ireland’s three games this autumn, with the two home matches shown exclusively and the trip to Twickenham to face England shared with Amazon Prime.
