The Scotland coach, Andy Robinson, has freshened uphis team for Tuesday's Test against Australia. The prop Ryan Grant will make his debut and the 21-year-old centre Matt Scott will start for the first time. The hooker Ross Ford will lead the side.

The uncapped utility back Tom Brown and lock Tom Ryder are among the replacements. At fly-half, Greig Laidlaw will win his eighth cap as one of nine players in the matchday 22 who have played less than 10 times.

"We were all disappointed by the Six Nations and this tour is about our strong collective determination to put that right," Robinson said. "The Wallabies team is sprinkled with quality international rugby players, so we know we'll be underdogs."

The Scots are without the loose forward David Denton because of injury, while centre Max Evans has commitments with Castres in France. After Tuesday's match, Scotland will play Tests in Fiji and Samoa.
