The Rugby Football League is due in court in Liverpool today to defend themselves against an action brought by the Australian Rugby League over money they claim is still owed to them from the 1995 Centenary World Cup.

Barrie McDermott, the Leeds prop forward, will appeal tomorrow against a five-match ban for a dangerous tackle and fighting during his club's pre-season friendly against York.

Brendon Tuuta, the former New Zealand forward, is fit after a chest injury to make his Super League debut for Warrington Wolves in Sunday's opener at Leeds Rhinos. The Wolves prop Mark Hilton will miss the game.
