About 3,000 people were evacuated from Wimbledon tennis club after a fire broke out in a plant room.

The small blaze began after the close of play, but the public address system at Centre Court told anyone still in the building to leave immediately, ITV News reported. Those on a tea lawn between gates 4 and 5 were also told to move away from the area.

London Fire Brigade tweeted that it had been “called to a small fire at Wimbledon 2015”.

“A plant room at the stadium is alight and the stadium has been evacuated,” it said. “3,000 people have been evacuated as a precaution.”

About 20 minutes later, it added: “Game set and match. The fire at #Wimbledon2015 tennis club is now under control.”
